The short version
LeThePlan is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the information you enter into the questionnaire. Your plan lives in your browser and nowhere else.
What we do NOT collect
- ✓Your name, email address, or any personal identifier
- ✓Your income, expenses, savings, debts, or any financial figures you enter
- ✓Your financial health score or plan output
- ✓Your IP address or precise location
- ✓Any account or login credentials — we have no accounts
What we store (locally, in your browser)
When you complete a plan, the data is saved in your browser’s localStorage. This storage is:
- —Only accessible by your browser on your device
- —Never transmitted to our servers
- —Automatically expired after 30 days for one-time plans (Snapshot and Plan)
- —Cleared when you clear your browser data
We also store your language preference (lfp_lang) and cookie consent status (lfp_cookie) in localStorage.
Cookies and analytics
We use the following third-party services that may set cookies:
Google AdSense
Used to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your visit to this site and other sites. You can opt out via Google’s Ad Settings. Declining cookies in our banner disables AdSense personalisation.
Tawk.to
Used to provide live chat support. Tawk.to may collect your IP address and browser information when you interact with the chat widget. Their privacy policy is available at tawk.to/privacy-policy.
If you decline cookies via our banner, we do not load personalised ad scripts. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage and reloading the page.
Share links
When you use the “Share plan” feature, the plan data is encoded directly into the URL. Anyone with the link can view your plan. The link contains your financial figures — share it only with people you trust. We do not have access to plans via share links; the data exists only in the URL itself.
No financial advice
LeThePlan is a financial planning tool, not a regulated financial advisor. The outputs — scores, projections, recommendations — are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.
Children
LeThePlan is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
